LOD or WOH
as far a PVE goes a monk is expected to heal while others attack.
my question is what skill do you think is better suited for PVE
Light of Deliverance - a very useful skill that will heal anyone in your party under 80% health, much more energy efficient than it's Heal Party counterpart. It's low recharge/cast time makes it easily spammable and won't affect your energy pool as much as Heal Party
Word of Healing - a spike heal, very useful as an emergency heal. with it's low recharge time it can also be used to heal minor injuries as well
i was leaning towards LOD, as PVE has many monsters that have AOE, also with their AI they hardly focus fire, making WoH useless as an emergency heal since it isn't used very much

It all depends on the area, and what team you are in - you ARE allowed to change your build!
In areas with mass degen or lots of AoE (Dragon's Lair, for instance) LoD would be a better choice. On the other hand, in areas with heavy-hitting single enemies (Aatxe in the UW, for instance) WoH would be a superior heal, with HP as a backup against whatever AoE you do find.

I go WoH.... i just like it more. And usually I join groups with a tank that can actually tank so he takes most if not all damage, so i can focus on him.

I usually go WoH just 'casue I'm not that great of a monk...
But on a serious note if your going in an area with a widespread degen or enviormental effect (eg. Gate Of Pain) I would take LoD. If not I take WoH or maby even Glimmer if I'm feeling good.

like said above id go with LOD for degen/ AOE areas and WoH for lesser sortof areas, LOD is one of the best healing moves to come out of NF, but there r times when u need that quick heal ( WoH is not anti spike, anti spike is 1/4 not 3/4)

or you could just use dwaynas kiss instead of WoH and use holy haste with some other choice healing skills and LoD... (no holy veil then though )

It's been said but it's WHERE you are that should dictate which skill you use. I've used them both. In a 2-3 monk backline bringin LoD is nice, in a single WoH is better IMO.

Healer's Boon is also a fun elite which turns you into this machine gun of health. The loss of an energy pip and the faster casting means you really need to pay attention to energy management, but each of your heals is worth more. Heal Party becomes hilariously effective.

actually, I think the biggest upside of healer's boon is the faster cast.
Given the choice between LoD and WoH, I'd pick LoD every time. But I do love healer's boon in the right hands.

Has anyone ever tried Healer's Boon + Holy Haste + Arcane Mimicry with another monk with Glimmer of Light?
If you steal Healer's Boon and cast that followed by Holy Haste and dance while you cast Glimmer of Light on yourself you can cast it without braking your dance routine. It's pretty cool. Seems you can't continue dancing while you cast it on other party members

Healer's Boon + GoLE + Heal Party is nice.
HBoon is less versatile than LoD, but it also has the potential to be much more powerful if you know how to use it. The only reason I don't use it more is that it requires you to bring a bar with mostly Healing Prayers.

Im not 100% sure on this but i thought it was the other way around, where it ends the dance if you cast on yourself, although i might be wrong

Tried LoD and WoH.
LoD didn't impress me. THK my team was so good (a guildie, me, 3 heros of 17th lvl) and 3 henchies beat everything - missed the bonus by seconds - he couldn't get to the other beacon in time.
Nothing survived (except my party). LoD was used and only 2 characters really needed to be healed (my guildie - MM and Koss). If you anticipate party damage (from AoE or environment or something), yes LoD is good. WoH is my pref (if only we get these two).

Lod over Woh anyday
and besides, GoL over WoH anyways, woh is such a poor elite with all the opt ions from factions/nightfall.
if i ever have to go pure healing, which is rare since prot > heal, i would choose LoD as my elite, with infuse health for spike healing.
